Impact of seasonal changes on moisture changes in wood between saw and end user
The aim of the project is to better understand the impact of seasonal variations on moisture changes (moisture content, moisture content gradients) of delivery packaged timber in the chain from packaging to end user and how this affects quality (deformations, cracks, color changes, mold).
The aim is to monitor the moisture in a timber package and follow this package on its way to the end user. This monitoring will be carried out twelve times during a year starting the first week of each month. The monitoring hopes to provide an indication of the seasonal impact on moisture changes in timber packages between the dryer and the end customer.
