Choices during your studies
Here you will find information on registering for courses, how to choose a specialization, what happens if you don't choose a specialization, optional and elective courses, and if courses you are interested in conflicts with each other.
Registration for courses
If you are a program student, the following applies
Information about courses in your program is shown in your study plan. Courses that are compulsory should in most cases not be applied for, there are exceptions. You will be able to see your compulsory courses before the start of the semester at My LTU > Courses and programs > Current admissions.
Courses you need to apply for via antagning.se
Elective and optional courses you apply for via antagning.se.
Degree projects and vfu courses you may also need to apply for via antagning.se.
Log in to antagning.se via My LTU > Registrera/Anmäla > Sök kurser ( antagning.se).
The last day of registration for the fall semester is April 15 and for the spring semester is October 15.
Register in good time before the deadline! If you register late, you have no priority or guaranteed place!
Program students should log in via My LTU with their student user or via antagning.se. Under the heading "Are you already a student?" you choose the university. It is important that you close the browser window after logging out so that no one else can access your application.
NOTE! Remember the deadline (see important dates on antagning.se).
If you have not accepted by the deadline, it will automatically be a no answer and the application option(s) will be deleted.

Elective Space
An elective space in the education plan means that you have the opportunity to freely choose among courses offered at universities and colleges corresponding to the credit scope of the elective space. Elective courses must be applied for via antagning.se.
Overlapping courses should not be included in the degree. It should be clearly stated in the course plan when two courses have essentially the same content, i.e., overlapping courses. If you are unsure about the content of similar courses, you should contact the relevant examiner.
Elective courses should not be credited. When applying for a degree, you must specify which elective courses should be included in your degree.
Selectable Space
Selectable space is mandatory and is indicated in the education plan with the comment "selectable."
The education plan specifies which selectable courses are offered for your specific education. A selectable space means that you must apply to take one of several predetermined courses during the selectable period. Selectable courses must be applied for via antagning.se as a program student.
