LTU card
The LTU card is your access card to the university premises. You must be a registered student to receive a card.
How to get a card
Programme student:
You will receive your card on the introduction day. Here’s how it works:
- Bring valid photo ID, such as a national ID card, driver’s licence, or passport, to Service Point.
- You will have your photo taken.
- You will receive your card.
- Activate your card and choose a PIN.

Single subject course student:
Bring valid ID and visit Service Point at your campus.
Distance student:
You do not need an LTU card. However, if you visit campus and want access to the buildings after 16:30, you must get an LTU card. Bring valid ID and visit Service Point at your campus.

- The card can be used as ID at exams.
- You can use the card to identify yourself to campus security staff.
- You can use the card to log in to the university printers.
Access to labs or other rooms
If you need access to a specific room or lab, your teacher must submit a request to Service Point. The request must include your card number and your username. If the access concerns a classroom booked by a student association, a separate form must be completed.
