Development of self-study modules
This educational development project aims at developing general teaching modules based on theory, methods, tools and hardware in the lab, which can easily be integrated as a course module in the university's existing courses at both advanced and postgraduate level.
The aim of the project is to develop a number of independent self-study modules that can easily be integrated into different courses. In simpler labs, such as the TVM and Prototype lab at ETS, students and teachers must undergo a simple management training for access. In the instructional programs they will learn how machines are used, the rules and risks of the lab. Corresponding "driving license model" may be used in DEPICT LAB to access more high-tech equipment.
The modules will be developed so that they can be integrated into the LTU learning platform Canvas and thus easily imported into different courses. The modules can be used to "certify" teachers, students and researchers so that they can then reserve time to use the equipment.
The development of self-study modules for high-tech labs has a budget of 245kr and is being completed in 2018

Results
In the project, general teaching modules were developed based on the theory, methods, tools and instruments from DEPICT LAB that can easily be integrated as a part or an in-depth study of the university's existing courses at both advanced and postgraduate level.
In the project, a doctoral course has been developed which includes a wiki with information about the lab, which instruments are available and how you use it. By integrating this into canvas, it is easy to export parts of the room (so-called Commons) which can then be used in other courses.
