Mining and Civil Engineering Lab – Tests and measurements

Test Platforms Complab

MCE Lab is the largest laboratory at Luleå University of Technology and have a wide range of activities. Mostly we do:

  • Mechanical testing on steel, wood and concrete
  • Rockmechanical testing
  • Geotechnical testing
  • Outdoor measurements
  • Analyses and enquiries.

About half the activity at testlab is directly linked to research projects and education programs at the university. The rest of the activity is external jobs, done directly or indirectly for external companies.

MCE Lab can access a lot of flexible equipment making it possible to measure even very complicated components and odd material. Read more under "Equipment".
