Arctic IoT
Luleå municipality, companies, and researchers cooperate in the project to strengthen the actors' ability to initiate, lead and collaborate in developing and implementing IoT solutions. Developing and testing a prototype that communicates data from sensors is central to the work.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the cooperation skills of the actors in the work with innovative IoT solutions and to better understand challenges with IoT solutions in a cold climate. A central activity is developing, testing, and demonstrating a mobile application that should be useful for citizens, tourists, the municipality's employees and businesses in connection with visits, work with and events in and around Luleå's popular ice track around the city peninsula.
The project is a way for Luleå municipality to be at the forefront of smart digital and connected cities. The municipality contributes to the project with project leadership and other co-financing in time and commitment.
