Exam registration
For a written exam, you must always register before the last day of registration.
Registration for exams
Registration for the exam must be done during the current registration period. You register for the exam via Kronox and then receive a confirmation to your student email when your registration has been registered. Always ensure that you have received the email.
Please note that it may take a few seconds for the page to be updated with your exam registration.
If you have problems registering, please contact Service Point via the form below before the deadline has passed.
How to register for an exam
- Open your browser and go to: https://tenta.ltu.se/index.jsp External link, opens in new window.
- Change language to English. Click on "Login" in the upper right corner and log in with your student login.
- Select the "Activity Registration" tab.
- Under the heading "Activities you can register for" you will find the exams that you can register for during the current registration period.
Select the city/location in the list and then click on Register.
Please note that it may take a few seconds before your exam registration is registered. - When your exam registration is registered, your exam will appear under the heading "Activities you are registered for". A confirmation email on your exam registration is also sent to your student email address.
Have you missed the deadline to register for an exam?
Once the registration deadline for the re-exam and exam period has passed, you cannot register for an exam.
If you have forgotten to register for an exam:
Campus Student (NML)
- Check the exam schedule to find out in which room the exam is scheduled.
- 30 minutes before the exam starts, the waiting list is available from the invigilator outside the exam room.
- You must be able to present your course registration certificate and result certificate, and valid identification. You can go to My LTU -> Results and certificates -> Certificates. If you do not find your certificates there, you must go to Service Point and pick up the certificates there.
- Sign up on the waiting list.
- You can take the exam with 45 minutes less writing time, if there are available seats.
Distance learning student (DST)
If you are studying a course or program as a distance student and have failed to register, you cannot sign up on a waiting list to write the exam at another exam site or study center.
If the exam is given at a campus location, it may be possible to take the exam there, provided that there are registered students. The same rules apply as for campus students.

To see the dates of courses that are relevant to you, you need to be logged in. You can see upcoming activities 60 days before the exam date.
1-2 weeks before the exam period starts, the time and venue for your course will be published.
The exam schedule is published every six months.
- Periods 1 and 2 are published in June.
- Periods 3 and 4 are published in November.
- The August re-examination period is published in April.
