Modified wood
Pine wood infiltrated with Fe3O4 nanoparticles with the aim of increasing resistance to moisture and UV radiation. Reference (untreated) and modified wood samples were scanned and analyzed by several characterization methods, including X-ray microtomography.
The project is a collaboration between Luleå University of Technology, Vilnius University (Vilnius, Lithuania) and Georgetown University (Washington DC, USA).
