Swedish and Education
The education and research subject Swedish and Education focuses on learning and teaching issues related to language, literature and media.
Swedish and Education is a subject didactic field that partly relates to the school's Swedish subject at different levels, and partly at a broader level concerns the linguistic and cultural conditions for children, young people and adults to participate in school and society. Central to the research field are questions about the creation of meaning through various forms of expression and media, as well as questions about language development and its relation to identity formation. The subject is interdisciplinary in nature and includes areas such as text and language production, literature and media reception, teaching and learning within the framework of the Swedish subject, Swedish as a second language and formal and informal learning environments.
