Green Transition North
Green Transition North includes 13 sub-projects aimed at smart energy systems and circular economy.
The purpose of the project is to promote cooperation between the local and regional business life in Upper Norrland. By collaborating with small and medium-sized companies, business promoters, Luleå University of Technology and its research in the fields of hydrogen gas, electrification, circular economy, digitization and sustainable natural resources, the aim is to take maximum advantage of the university's investments to support the positive development in the region. The project is a collaboration between researchers and 15 companies within the green industrial transition in northern Sweden: LKAB, Northvolt, H2 Green Steel, Uniper, ABB, Hitachi Energy, Skellefteå kraft, Pite Energi, Luleå Energi, Bodens energi, Vattenfall, Ericsson, Hexatronic, AFRY, and Lumire. The project runs from April 2023 to March 2026. Within electronic systems, we focus on knowledge building and research on disturbances in electric drive systems, including active filters and cancellation.
