Thematic series on the cultural heritage in Gammelstad

Luleå Municipality celebrates its 300th anniversary in 2021. Just in time for the celebration, the cultural-historical series about Gammelstad as a World Heritage Site is ready. Prof. Emeritus Lars Elenius at the Department of History at Luleå University of Technology has written a 280-page thematic series on the cultural heritage of Gammelstad. All parts are translated into English.

• Part 3. Change in the Church Town - House design and social function
• Part 4. Clothing fashion variations- for festive periods and everyday life

The work is a collaboration between Luleå University of Technology and Luleå Municipality, where the work at the Department of History is funded by the National Heritage Board.
