NoBias - inclusive communication using AI

In the NoBias project, norms and prejudices around communication in technology-related industries and areas have been explored with the support of design and AI/machine learning. This has led to the development of a digital service for inclusive communication.

NoBias is a practice-based and interdisciplinary research project carried out in 2020–2022 with funding from Vinnova's investment in norm-critical innovation. The project has been led by Luleå University of Technology in collaboration with Teknikkvinnor, Tromb and Substorm. Together, they have explored which norms and biases affect communication and designed a service that will contribute to behaviour change and more inclusive communication.
