Economic incentives in microgrids, subtransmission and transmission grids - an orientation study
This project will focus on financial incentives towards the customers in power grids at different levels. The focus will be applications on so-called microgrids in smaller communities when Bureå (part of the municipality of Skellefteå in Northern Sweden) will be a case study.
The case study will be conducted in close cooperation with Skellefteå Kraft. It will look at opportunities to use different types of financial incentives to control consumption, production from renewable electricity generation, as well as charging and discharging batteries at different locations in the network and as part of the charging infrastructure for electric cars.
Another important application of financial incentives in planning is to make better use of subtransmission and transmission networks to enable the connection of large industrial installations without long lead times. This will also be included in the study.
