Flexibility pricing and economic incentives on supporting the electricity network
The project aims to study the resources of flexibility and their economic incentives for investors in an electricity market.
The project also aims to promote flexibility to support the electricity network to avoid or postpone the need for new grid infrastructure. Pricing of flexibility and economic compensation of flexibility services will be studied considering new demand side technologies, local production units, hydropower, and new energy storage options. The project will also study the impact of the incentives for flexibility and the flexibility pricing on the firm secure transfer capacity and on the hosting capacity for new consumption and renewable production. The results of the project are to be used in the transformation of the power grid towards a renewable energy-oriented society.
