Interaction between charging infrastructure with electro-mobility and the electricity grid
A synthesis will be made of the knowledge on interaction between charging infrastructure and the power grid.
A synthesis will be made of the knowledge on interaction between charging infrastructure and the power grid. Charging infrastructure contains, for this application, public charging points, charging points with private individuals and businesses, electrified roads, trolley buses, etc. The project includes how the charging infrastructure affects the low and medium voltage networks; tolerance of the charging infrastructure against voltage disturbances; and consequences of the synchronization of charging through the electricity market.
The project will be carried out through close collaboration and exchange of knowledge between 10 researchers (PhD students and senior researchers) who contribute different skills, and all work on other (but highly relevant) projects. The proposed project will result in two reports and two workshops-combined-courses, December 2019 and 2020. The results can be used to increase the amount of electric-mobility that the grid can handle.
