Smart Community Energy Management System: Dynamic Hosting Capacity
This project aims to develop an Energy Management System (EMS) for a Community with high amounts of photovoltaic and energy storage in the future power grid.
This EMS will behave as an aggregator of distributed energy resources that would allow the active participation of the so called 'prosumers' in an open market. In the project it will be analysed how to increase the hosting capacity using real-time information from generation and demand, hybrid micro-storage, and the dynamic calculation of indexes that determine the hosting capacity.
The project is an international cooperation project mainly conducted at the University of Cordoba.
Project participants: Aurora Gil, Math Bollen.
