Sami traditional livelihoods, competing land uses, competing legal sources (SaCC)
The aim is to propose improvements in the legal framework concerning the relationship between, on the one hand, traditional Sami/indigenous industries (such as reindeer husbandry, hunting and fishing), and on the other industrial activities, especially the mining industry
A comparison is made between Norwegian/Swedish law and the law of BC, Canada. The aim is furthermore to analyse the content and scope of Sami customs and legal concepts, especially those that can work together with the traditional Norwegian/Swedish legal sources, in accordance with ILO Convention 169.
