Skaepiedidh - The future of creativity in schools
The aim of the project is to create a web-based platform to disseminate technological experiments and harness the creative spirit in schools through modern technology and develop pedagogy for use in the classroom.
Maker Culture is about harnessing the joy of creation and creativity. It consists of many different elements, but much focus has been placed on 3D printers and open electronics.
Within the framework of Skaepiedidh, a web-based platform will be created to manage various experiments and recipes to create new technological solutions in schools as part of the teaching process. Students and educators will be able to share material in the form of experiments and, for example, 3D models that support knowledge building in schools. An important part of this is being able to 'remix' these experiments and solutions and disseminate these improvements to other interested parties. It is also important to be able to easily share what has been created in schools to inspire others and show what is possible. Support for collectively highlighting good examples will be built into the system.
In addition to Luleå University of Technology, Luleå Municipality and LTU Business Development also participate in the project.
