Project effectiveness and efficiency
The researchers Diana Chronéer (Information systems) and Fredrik Backlund (Quality technology) has been granted 4,7 millions of Hjalmar Lundbohm Research Centre (HLRC) to explore how projects can be managed more effectively and efficiently.
Many projects are unsuccessful even though project models and methods are used. The situation indicates that project-based organisations are insufficient in learning from previous project experiences, and that continuous improvements are lacking.
The aim with the project is to explore, by means of in-depth studies, how continuous improvements can be introduced in a project-based organisation, and by that contributing to effectiveness and efficiency. Erik Sundqvist, PhD-student in quality technology, will be working with the project as a part of his doctoral research studies.
