Research questions in Nursing at Luleå University of Technology, LTU, are about how health can be promoted by understanding and meeting a person's needs and at the same time utilizing the person's resources to achieve and maintain health. We focus on the whole life span, children, adults and elderly people with relatives / family. Studies are ongoing on measures and interventions to promote health, both preventive and for recovery, in, for example, emergency care, psychiatric care and in care for the elderly.
Further ongoing research is digital solutions and the use of artificial intelligence for good and safe care, and the ethical challenges that this development entails. We conduct research with a focus on the importance of nature for health in the unique outdoor environment in northern Sweden offers. Health and learning for students and in the nursing profession is another of our research areas, as well as research with a focus on the development of person-centered and reflective working methods in health and care. The goal of our research is to contribute new knowledge that contributes to the person being able to achieve health and well-being, even in the event of illness, injury or ill health.
