Recurrence of acute heart disease
People who have a heart attack are more likely to have another one.
More women than men experience a change in symptoms after the second attack and those affected feel more physically and psychologically affected after the second heart attack. Women have their second heart attack much closer to the first than men. More women also have risk factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes and smoking. Patients, both women and men, have reported that after their second heart attack they feel worried, anxious, depressed or even depressed. First-time heart attack patients are relatively well-represented in research, but there are fewer studies on those who relapse. The aim of the project is therefore to map and describe recurrence of cardiovascular disease.
