Research circles - health promoting school
Within the Health Promoting School initiative in Piteå municipality, school staff are invited to research circles in 2021 and 2022.
In a long-term perspective, the research circle is a first step in creating a research and development environment to promote health and learning in Piteå municipality's preschools and schools. The purpose of the research circles is, through literature studies and smaller development projects in the business, to create a common understanding of what health promotion work in the school means with a link to students' learning and motivation. Based on the common understanding of health promotion work, which is generated in the research circle, formulate a business idea on how the promotional work can be carried out in the future in Piteå municipality's preschools and schools, to strengthen the health and learning of students and children.
The project is led by Assistant Professor of Education Ulrika Bergmark and Professor of Health Catrine Kostenius from the Department of Health, Education and Technology.
