Psychiatric nursing in somatic emergency care (POSA)
People with mental health problems come into contact with somatic emergency care more often than others, while staff may feel that they lack the knowledge and conditions to meet people with mental illness in a good way.
The overall aim is to develop and improve the care of people with mental illness in emergency care. The project develops knowledge about how staff and patients' experience-based knowledge can contribute to developing and improving the care of people with mental illness in emergency care. Research in this area is conducted in collaboration with researchers from Umeå University.
