Good and close palliative care in a rural context
In this action research project we want to explore and promote the conditions and implementation of good and close palliative care in a rural context.
Through collaboration with non-profit organizations, people living in rural areas and professional resources, we want to explore what good and close palliative care can look like for people living in rural areas and together co-create the conditions for such care. The project is based on the theory of "Compassionate Communities" where community actors and the public are seen as important resources in matters of serious illness, dying and grief.
The project is part of the research school Nära vård and is thus co-financed by Luleå University of Technology and Region Norrbotten.
