Experiencing acute illness and injury
Research in this area focuses on the experience of acute illness or injury, on undergoing surgery and on concepts of importance in the context of, and life after, the illness or accident. Furthermore, the research deals with recovery and how daily life is affected in connection with acute illness or injury. The research has a person-centered starting point where dignity, security and safe care are central. The focus of the research is the person affected by acute illness or injury and the person's relatives. In addition, the perspective of healthcare professionals and team collaboration in critical situations are studied. The research involves senior researchers as well as doctoral students and students at advanced level.
